NavAlert NMEA Monitor & Alarm System
NavAlert is Digital Yacht’s latest innovation and allows an alarm to be set for any parameter that’s available on the boat’s NMEA 2000 network. That could be navigation data such as depth, heading, or speed, as well as electrical data such as voltage and engine/generator data including temperature, pressure, tank levels, fuel flow, etc.
It connects anywhere on the NMEA 2000 network and takes power from this connection, so installation is super simple. A local WiFi network is created by NavAlert, so setup is possible via any smartphone, tablet, or PC. Simply choose the parameter to monitor and set an alarm level.
Alarms/Alerts
Integrated into NavAlert is a custom alarm for anchor drift using an algorithm to calculate the optimum drift radius based on depth and the scope of the chain for reliable notifications. There’s also an anti-collision alarm based on CPA (closest point of approach) and TCPA (time to the closest point of approach) AIS data from a connected AIS. These alerts can also be monitored through the wireless interface with attractive graphical displays of current status.
Alarms can also generate an SMS message, which can be relayed through Digital Yacht’s 4GXtream internet connectivity solution, allowing remote monitoring, which is great for feeling secure that the anchor is holding well when enjoying a lunch ashore. Alarms are independent of any alarms set on a plotter, allowing NavAlert to operate even without a primary multi-function display being powered up (an important feature for power-limited sailboats).
Alerts can also be relayed to compatible multi-function devices (Garmin supports this function) for a pop-up data window indicating an alert and the ability to acknowledge it.
*NavAlert is universal, using the industry standard NMEA 2000 data protocol, so it will integrate with all leading brands and systems.
Operation
The operation is simple. Simply search for the WiFi network that NavAlert creates and connect via a smartphone or tablet. Open a browser and connect to NavAlert, and users are presented with a clear graphical interface allowing easy setup, configuration, and viewing of the alerts and network data. NavAlert constantly monitors the whole network, so alert parameters can be set for any variable.
Users can configure the NavAlert through its simple web interface. Just open a web browser, enter the NavAlert’s IP address, and users can change the network name and password, or even merge the WiFi to an existing WiFi network on board… So no complicated programming software or app is required.

CO Alert Carbon Monoxide Alarm with NMEA 2000
The lethal nature of CO means every boat should be protected with a local alarm. Of course, a typical household alarm could be installed but these have limitations for onboard use. They utilize an internal battery which will often expire when left for long periods – it’s all too easy to forget to replace with seasonal use on a boat. What’s more, just a local alarm in a cabin with a crew member sleeping and the vessel underway with the noise of an engine is unlikely to be effective. CO Alert from Digital Yacht is built for demanding, maritime environments plus has NMEA 2000 integration so alerts will pop up on the boat’s compatible MFD.
CO Alert creates a standard NMEA 2000 alert PGN which allows pop-up alarms on compatible MFDs. (At present, this functionality is best implemented by Garmin).
The system can also be expanded further with our NavAlert general-purpose alert and monitoring device and our 4GX/5GX internet access systems. With this combination, SMS messages can be generated for a CO Alert and sent to a remote phone.
Features:
DC-powered and UL-listed detector
Connects to NMEA 2000 bus
Ultra-low power consumption (<25mA)
Local loud alarm
Test function & continuous checking for system fault
NMEA 2000 alerts for activation and fault
Multi cabin compatible with multiple detectors (NMEA 2000 instance field programmable)

Digital Yacht iSeaSense is a new range of complete marine instrumentation packs based on NMEA 2000 and wireless connectivity – allowing for maximum flexibility and connectivity. Choose from using phones, iPads, and tablets for boat data displays as well as 3rd party industry-standard instruments and multi-function displays.
Top quality and highly accurate sensors are used for boat depth, speed, compass, and GPS data. Data can be shared with other devices on the NMEA 2000 network too.
iSeaSense is easy to specify. Available as two main starter packs, everything is included for easy installation and ordering. No app is needed either as the iSeaSense wireless server creates powerful graphical and numeric display pages that can be viewed via a browser on any device.
iSeaSense Pack 1 is a comprehensive boat depth, speed, and temperature pack. A spatial sensor is also included for detecting pitch and roll and there’s a sophisticated algorithm for calibrating boat speed information based on heel.
A full NMEA 2000 backbone cabling pack is included and the wireless interface for connectivity. There is a spare cable and connection point for additional NMEA 2000 devices such as a multi-function display or Digital Yacht’s range of instruments.
iSeaSense features an easy-to-use web interface. No apps are required. Simply open the browser on a connected device, navigate to iSeaSense.local, and the optimized touchscreen display is ready.
The web interface works on iOS, Android, PC, Linux, and MAC – any standard web browser as well as e-ink displays like Kindle and e-book. It supports up to 3 connected devices with super fast 5Hz updates.
The data can also be used by 100’s popular navigation apps & software such as Navionics, TZ iBoat, OpenCPN, SailGrib, etc.
Operation
You can access the iSeaSense dashboard through its own web interface, just open your web browser, enter the iSeaSense’s IP address or iSeaSense.local and you will access the attractive dash to display all your instrument's data. So no complicated programming software or app is required.
By default, iSeaSense has a series of pre-defined pages that display digital databoxes and analog “instruments” of the instrument and navigation data available on the NMEA 2000 network.
With iSeaSense you’re in control of the data you see. The pages are fully editable, so any databox can be configured for the information you want and you can easily add and remove databox to build your perfect display. The configuration can also be saved and shared – ideal for standard configurations for production boats and OEMs.
