The Yamada NDP-25BPS-T1-L-BSPT is a genuine Yamada NDP-25 series air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump, built with a polypropylene pump body and Santoprene (TPO) diaphragms and valve balls. It uses compressed shop air, not electricity, to reciprocate a pair of diaphragms that alternately draw fluid in on one side of the pump and push it out the other, which lets it run dry without damage, self-prime from a lift, and pass moderate solids without stalling.

There is no fixed interval. Diaphragms are a wear item that fail from flex fatigue, chemical attack or dry-running, so replace on a schedule that matches your duty cycle and inspect at the first sign of reduced flow or fluid at the muffler.
