Yamada 770551 Rubber Foot for DP-10 to NDP-25
The Yamada 770551 is a factory rubber foot used in DP-10, DP-15, NDP-15, NDP-20, NDP-25 and G15 Series pumps. A diaphragm pump shakes as it runs, and the mounting parts take that vibration continuously.
Mounting parts get replaced because they corrode, because they crack at the fixing holes, or because vibration has worked them loose and flogged the holes oversize. A pump that is not held down firmly transmits its vibration into the pipework, and the pipework then transmits it back into the pump manifolds, which is how manifold joints start to weep.

Q: My pump walks when it runs. What should I check?
The mounting feet and the hold down fasteners first. A pump that is not firmly located puts cyclic load into the manifold connections, which is where the leaks start.
Q: Why has the base corroded so badly?
It usually sits lowest, so it is in contact with whatever water collects around the installation. On marine duty it is normal for the base to need attention before anything internal does.
Q: Should the feet be replaced as a set?
Yes. Mixing new and hardened feet leaves the pump sitting unevenly and concentrates the vibration on the tired ones.
Q: Does the base need to match the wet end material?
It should match the model and the build. Yamada supplies bases to suit metal and plastic wet ends separately because the fixings and loads differ.
