Yamada 713061 Center Manifold, aluminum for NDP-40
The Yamada 713061 is the genuine center manifold for NDP-40 Series pumps with aluminum wet ends. It is the part that collects or distributes flow between the two pumping chambers and the pipework, and it is a pressure containing component with a machined sealing face at every joint.
When a manifold is replaced, the gaskets and O-rings at each joint go back new. They are already out, and a new manifold bolted onto tired seals leaks in exactly the place you just spent the time fixing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does the manifold joint weep even after new seals?
Usually because the sealing face is no longer flat. Erosion and corrosion dish the face, and a new gasket cannot bridge a dished joint.
Q: Can a cracked manifold be welded or glued?
It should not be. It is a pressure containing part with machined sealing faces, and heat or filler distorts those faces even when the repair itself holds.
Q: What causes cracks at the bolt bosses?
Overtightening, or pipework strain being carried by the pump. Support the pipework independently so the pump is not holding it up.
Q: Should the seals be replaced when fitting a new manifold?
Always. They are already out and a new manifold on old seals leaks in the place you have just repaired.
