Yamada 709195 Air Valve Sleeve for NDP-20 and NDP-25
The Yamada 709195 is a factory air valve sleeve used in NDP-20 and NDP-25 Series pumps. The air motor is what makes the pump self reciprocating: the pilot valve senses the end of the stroke, the main valve shifts, and air is redirected to the other chamber.
Symptoms of a worn air motor are easy to mistake for a diaphragm fault, so it is worth being systematic: a pump that stalls but has no product at the muffler is almost always an air side problem, while product at the muffler points at a split diaphragm. Chasing the wrong one wastes a rebuild.

Q: What damages the air motor fastest?
Water and dirt in the compressed air supply. A filter regulator with a water trap, drained regularly, does more to extend air motor life than any other single measure.
Q: Does the air motor need lubricated air?
These pumps are designed to run on clean dry air without a lubricator. What matters far more is keeping moisture and debris out.
Q: Can I replace one air motor part on its own?
You can, but if the assembly is open it is worth renewing the gaskets, seal rings and springs at the same time. They are inexpensive and reaching them is the expensive part.
Q: Why does the pump exhaust continuously without cycling?
Air is crossing between passages that should be isolated - a failed gasket, a worn seal ring or a valve face that is no longer flat.
