The Weinman 135665 is the genuine Weinman impeller kit for size 3R, S frame on 375 and 575 Series back pull out pumps. The impeller is the only part that adds energy to the liquid - the driver spins it, the vanes throw water outward, and the casing turns that velocity into the pressure you read at the discharge.
A physical strike is the other common reason. Debris through the suction chips or bends a vane, the rotating assembly goes out of balance, and the shaft seal and bearings then carry a load they were never designed for. Once that has happened the impeller is not something to straighten and reuse.

Q: Do I need to reset any clearance after fitting?
Yes. The axial position of the impeller relative to the casing is set during assembly on these pumps, and the Weinman procedure for your model gives the figure. Guessing it away is a common reason a rebuilt pump underperforms.
Q: The pump vibrates badly. Could the impeller be the cause?
It can be, particularly if a vane has broken or worn unevenly and thrown the balance out. Check it first, but rule out a starved suction and worn bearings too, because both produce similar symptoms.
Q: What comes in the kit besides the impeller?
The mounting hardware that has to be renewed with it - the impeller key, the retaining screw and its washer. Those are the items that hold a rebuild up when they are ordered separately, and reusing a stretched screw on a rotating part is not worth the saving.
