Sta-Rite C69-15 Water Slinger
The Sta-Rite C69-15 is a replacement water slinger for Sta-Rite Dyna-Glas/Dyna-Max Series in-ground pool and spa pumps, a small flinger disc mounted on the motor shaft just behind the seal. It spins with the shaft and throws off any moisture that gets past the seal before it can reach the motor bearing.
A cracked or missing slinger will not cause a leak on its own, but it removes a layer of protection for the motor if the seal ever does start to weep. Replace it any time the pump is opened for a seal job, since it is inexpensive insurance against motor bearing damage.
