Proven Pump 365-12V Utility Transfer Pump, 12V DC, 300 GPH
The Proven Pump 365-12V is a self priming utility transfer pump that runs straight off a 12V DC battery and moves up to 300 GPH. It is the version of the 360 Series for anywhere there is no shore power: leads with battery clips instead of a plug, the same plated brass head and flexible rubber impeller, and the same 3/4 in male garden hose thread on both ends with a 3/8 in FNPT inside.
Running on the boat battery is what it is for. The flexible impeller primes itself and will lift liquid from about 6 ft below the pump with a dry hose, so it will empty a bilge, a tank or a flooded locker at anchor, on a trailer or anywhere a cord will not reach. Watch two things. It is a portable, non-submersible pump on intermittent duty, so give the motor time to cool between runs; and never let it run dry, because the liquid passing through it is what lubricates the impeller vanes against the cam.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What size battery does it need?
Any healthy 12V starting or house battery will run it. What matters more is the condition of the clips and the leads, since a poor connection drops voltage and the pump runs slowly and hot.
Q: Should it be fused?
Yes. Protect the leads with an inline fuse close to the battery, as you would with any portable 12V appliance.
Q: How does it compare with the 115V version?
Same pump head, same impeller and the same connections. The 115V model moves a little more liquid and lifts slightly higher; this one goes where there is no shore power.
Q: Can I leave it connected to the battery between uses?
Disconnect it. Leaving clips on a battery invites accidental starts and corrosion at the terminals, neither of which does the pump or the battery any good.
