Pulsafeeder LPH6SA-VTC3-XXX Metering Pump
The Pulsafeeder LPH6SA-VTC3-XXX is a Pulsatron Series E Plus electronic solenoid diaphragm metering pump rated at 120 gallons per day (5.00 GPH) against up to 100 PSI, powered from 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The liquid end is PVC with PTFE seats and O-rings and ceramic check valve balls, connected with 3/8 in ID x 1/2 in OD tubing. PVC is well suited to gassing chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite and to general water disinfection duty.
Control is by manual on/off with on-line adjustable stroke rate and stroke length, each with a 10:1 turndown, at up to 125 strokes per minute. The diaphragm pump design is sealless and leak free at the liquid end, guided ball check valves help it prime and hold prime, and the drive is fully enclosed with thermal overload protection on the solenoid. When the time comes to service it, the matching rebuild kit is KOPkit K6VTC3, which renews the head, diaphragm and both valve cartridges in one go.

Q: Can it be mounted outdoors?
The enclosure is water resistant for indoor and outdoor installations, but keep it out of direct sun and use UV resistant black discharge tubing if the tubing is exposed.
Q: Why does the pump lose prime on sodium hypochlorite?
Hypochlorite releases gas that collects in the head. Mounting the pump with a flooded suction and bleeding the head regularly helps, and a degassing valve is the permanent fix.
Q: What is the most common wear item?
The check valve cartridges, followed by the diaphragm. A slow drop in output usually points to a valve that is not seating cleanly.
Q: Does the pump need a foot valve?
Yes. The foot valve and strainer keep the suction line full and stop debris from reaching the check valves, and the ceramic weight holds it at the bottom of the tank.
