Pulsafeeder LB02SA-KTC1-XXX Metering Pump
The Pulsafeeder LB02SA-KTC1-XXX is a Pulsatron Series A Plus electronic solenoid diaphragm metering pump rated at 6 gallons per day (0.25 GPH) against up to 150 PSI, powered from 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz. The liquid end is PVDF with PTFE seats and O-rings and ceramic check valve balls, connected with 1/4 in ID x 3/8 in OD tubing. PVDF is the choice for aggressive and corrosive chemicals such as acids used for pH control, where polypropylene would soften or craze over time.
Control is by manual stroke rate and stroke length adjustment, each with a 10:1 turndown, at up to 125 strokes per minute. The diaphragm pump design is sealless and leak free at the liquid end, guided ball check valves help it prime and hold prime, and the drive is fully enclosed with thermal overload protection on the solenoid. When the time comes to service it, the matching rebuild kit is KOPkit K2KTC1, which renews the head, diaphragm and both valve cartridges in one go.

Q: Why does the pump lose prime on sodium hypochlorite?
Hypochlorite releases gas that collects in the head. Mounting the pump with a flooded suction and bleeding the head regularly helps, and a degassing valve is the permanent fix.
Q: What is the most common wear item?
The check valve cartridges, followed by the diaphragm. A slow drop in output usually points to a valve that is not seating cleanly.
Q: Does the pump need a foot valve?
Yes. The foot valve and strainer keep the suction line full and stop debris from reaching the check valves, and the ceramic weight holds it at the bottom of the tank.
Q: Can it pump directly into a pressurized line?
Yes, up to the rated 150 PSI at the injection point. The injection valve supplied with the pump keeps the line from backing into the discharge tubing.
