Q: Does it replace the injection valve?
No. It mounts at the pump discharge, and the injection valve stays at the injection point. They do different jobs.
Q: Where does the relief and drain line go?
Back to the chemical supply tank. Relieved or drained chemical must be returned safely, never left open to the floor.
Q: Can I use it on a higher pressure pump?
Only a valve matched to the pump rating should be used. A 100 PSI valve on a higher pressure pump would relieve during normal metering.
Q: What wears out first?
The diaphragm and O-rings inside the valve. A valve that is weeping or relieving early should be rebuilt or replaced.
