Pulsafeeder L3300H01-PVC Bleed Valve Assembly
The Pulsafeeder L3300H01-PVC is the genuine Pulsatron bleed valve assembly for pumps with the VHC1 wet end (PVC head, CSPE seats, ceramic balls). It has a PVC body with CSPE O-ring and a 3/8 in OD tubing connection for the return line, and it mounts at the discharge side of the pump head. Opening the knob vents air and gas from the head back to the supply tank so the pump can prime, then closing it returns the pump to normal metering.
Bleed valves are worked by hand every time a pump is primed, and on gassing chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite they are used routinely to clear vapor lock. Over time the knob threads wear, the seat stops closing fully and chemical keeps returning to the tank, which shows up as low output that no stroke setting will cure. Replacing the whole assembly restores a positive shutoff. Check that the second half of the pump model number reads VHC1 before ordering.

Q: Where does the return tubing go?
Back to the chemical supply tank, secured above the liquid level. Never route it to a drain, since chemical and vapor are released every time the valve is opened.
Q: How far should I open it when priming?
A turn or so is enough. Run the pump until chemical with no bubbles flows in the return line, then close the valve snugly by hand.
Q: Why does chemical keep returning to the tank?
The seat or O-ring is no longer sealing when the valve is closed. That bypass reduces delivered output, and a new assembly is the cure.
Q: Is the bleed valve O-ring sold separately?
Yes, as a separate part number, but when the knob or body is worn it is better to replace the full assembly.
