Onan A029U129 Heavy Duty Sea Water Pump
The Onan A029U129 Heavy Duty Sea Water Pump handles the entire raw water side of the cooling system on the set: suction from the sea cock and strainer, flow through the heat exchanger, and discharge into the exhaust. A complete pump removes every question about whether an internal part was missed during a rebuild.
Replace the whole pump rather than rebuilding it when the housing bore is scored or pitted through, when the shaft has been running with a leaking seal for a long time, or when the mounting flange or cover faces have corroded. A rebuild only works if the castings are still sound. This pump is fitted on MDKDP, MDKDR, MDKDV, MDKBP and MDKBR sets and QD 13.5 to 21.5 kW generator sets. It supersedes Onan sea water pumps 132-0343, 132-0347, 132-0356 and 132-0413.

A sound old body is worth keeping as a rebuildable spare, provided the castings are not pitted through.
