Oberdorfer 32143 Pump Body – Fits 992
This is the genuine Oberdorfer 32143 housing. Oberdorfer uses corrosion resistant castings across the range because the body is the one part that is expected to outlast several sets of internals.
Damaged port threads are worth catching early. A thread that has been overtightened once will leak at every fitting change after that.
Fit new seals, O-rings and gaskets when a body is changed. There is no sense in putting used soft parts into a new casting.

Fit new internals and measure the clearance. If a fresh set still leaves the pump slipping under pressure, the bore is the problem.
Q: Does the body come with any internal parts?
Treat it as a bare casting unless the listing states otherwise, and plan on new seals and soft parts alongside it.
Q: Can a damaged port thread be repaired instead?
Sometimes, with an insert. Whether that is sensible depends on how much metal is left around the port.
Q: Will pipework strain affect it?
Yes. Unsupported pipe hanging off the ports is a common cause of cracked castings and of leaks that return after every repair.
