Oberdorfer 2378 Dust Shield – OEM Pump Replacement Part
The Oberdorfer 2378 is the dust shield for its position in the Oberdorfer pump range. Oberdorfer builds its pumps from corrosion resistant castings with stainless steel shafts and fasteners, and supplies the internal components individually so a pump is repaired rather than replaced.
On a pump built to close clearances, a worn internal part shows up as lost flow or lost pressure long before anything becomes audible. Working through the internals at overhaul, rather than replacing only what has obviously failed, is what keeps a rebuilt pump performing like a new one.
