Lovejoy SW100 Snap-Wrap Jaw Coupling Spider
This is the Lovejoy SW100 spider, the radially removable snap-wrap elastomer insert for an SW-Series jaw coupling built around a pair of L100 hubs. Unlike the standard L-Series spider, which requires the two hubs to be drawn back along the shafts for replacement, the SW spider snaps in and out from the side with its retaining ring in place, so the coupling can be serviced without moving either piece of connected equipment.
Maximum speed on the SW-Series with its retaining ring in place is 1,750 RPM, the same general limit as a standard rubber L-Series spider; for higher speed duty, Lovejoy offers an LC-Type collar version instead. Keep that RPM limit in mind when specifying this part for a higher-speed drive.

No. That is the purpose of the snap-wrap design: it wraps around the jaws of hubs that are already mounted on the shafts, so neither the motor nor the driven equipment needs to be moved.
