Q: Can this hub be used with a cast iron L110 hub on the other shaft?
The AL110 and L110 share the same size designation and jaw geometry, but the two hub materials are not the standard pairing. Keep the pair matched in material unless a mismatch has already been confirmed acceptable for the application.
Q: What happens if the bore is larger than my shaft?
An oversized bore will not grip the shaft correctly even with the set screw tightened, so the hub bore needs to match the shaft diameter as closely as the set screw and any keyway allow. Do not attempt to bush down a bore that is too large.
Q: Is a keyway included on this bore size?
No, this bore is supplied without a keyway and relies on the set screw alone. A keyway can be added by a machine shop if the application calls for it.
Q: How is the hub secured to the shaft?
