Hygienic stainless flexible impeller pumps are especially useful for viscous or air-entrained food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, and their gentle, low-shear action handles delicate liquids without breaking them down. They can pass soft and hard solids and are designed to be cleaned in place or easily stripped for cleaning. The neoprene impeller suits water-based food, beverage and general products, gives up to 10 ft of dry suction lift and up to 22 ft when wetted. The pump relies on the liquid for lubrication and must not run dry for more than 30 seconds.
