It is self-priming and debris-tolerant, with a nominal flow of 50 GPM (189 LPM). Use a NEMA 184TC frame C-face motor rated 5 HP at 1750 RPM with an appropriate service factor. The motor must handle high axial loads, ideally with the front ball bearing locked against axial movement, and deliver at least 14.5 ft-lbs forward and 43 ft-lbs reverse torque.
