The Jabsco 2907-0000 is a genuine Jabsco replacement cam for Jabsco flexible impeller pumps, including the 2620 series bronze pedestal pumps. The cam is the curved insert fixed inside the pump body that flexes the impeller blades as they pass, squeezing liquid out of the blade cavities toward the discharge port.
Over years of service a cam wears, pits or corrodes, and its retaining screw can start to leak. That reduces the pressure and flow the pump can deliver. Fitting a new cam during a rebuild, together with the impeller and wear plate, restores the pump's original performance.
