The Jabsco 29015-0000 is a genuine Jabsco 3/4 inch vented loop for the flush water intake line on Jabsco marine toilets. Installed so the top of the loop sits well above the waterline, it lets air into the line and breaks the siphon that can otherwise draw seawater through the toilet and into the boat.
Siphoning is one of the most common causes of a flooded head compartment, especially on sailboats that heel or when the toilet is mounted near or below the waterline. A vented loop is inexpensive protection, and it should be kept clean so the vent valve can open freely.
