The Jabsco 2574-0000 is a genuine Jabsco wear plate for Jabsco flexible (rubber) impeller pumps, including the 6590 series manual clutch pumps. It lines the back of the pumping chamber, giving the impeller blades a smooth, hard surface to seal against as they turn.
Sand, grit and dry running score the wear plate over time, letting liquid slip past the blades and reducing flow and priming. Replacing a grooved plate along with the impeller restores full performance and helps the new impeller last longer.
