The Jabsco 23920-9423 Utility Puppy 2000 is a continuously rated 12V DC bronze flexible impeller pump with a nitrile impeller and a nitrile lip seal. It is rated at 8.33 GPM (32 LPM) at 10 feet of total head and self-primes up to 4 ft (1.2 m) of vertical lift, giving high flow for bilge pumping, deck wash and general purpose transfer.
A key advantage of the Utility Puppy series is its ability to run dry for up to ten minutes after the initial prime, which protects the impeller if the liquid supply runs out. Initial priming must not take longer than 30 seconds before liquid reaches the pump head. Ports are 3/4 inch NPT for use with 1 inch reinforced hose, and the pump handles hard and soft solids up to roughly 6 to 7 mm, so an inlet strainer is generally not recommended.
