The Jabsco 23920-9323 Utility Puppy 3000 is a continuously rated 24V DC bronze flexible impeller pump with a nitrile impeller and a nitrile, carbon and ceramic mechanical seal. It is rated at 11.33 GPM (43 LPM) at 10 feet of total head and self-primes up to 8 ft (2.4 m) of vertical lift, giving very high flow for bilge pumping, deck wash and general purpose transfer.
A key advantage of the Utility Puppy series is its ability to run dry for up to ten minutes after the initial prime, which protects the impeller if the liquid supply runs out. Initial priming must not take longer than 30 seconds before liquid reaches the pump head. Ports are 3/4 inch NPT for use with 1 inch reinforced hose, and the pump handles hard and soft solids up to roughly 6 to 7 mm, so an inlet strainer is generally not recommended. The mechanical seal is designed for extra-long service life.
