The Jabsco 23920-2523 Utility Puppy 2000 is a continuously rated 24V DC bronze flexible impeller pump with a nitrile impeller and a nitrile lip seal. It is rated at 8.33 GPM (32 LPM) at 10 feet of total head and self-primes up to 4 ft (1.2 m) of vertical lift, giving high flow for bilge pumping, deck wash and general purpose transfer.
A key advantage of the Utility Puppy series is its ability to run dry for up to ten minutes after the initial prime, which protects the impeller if the liquid supply runs out. Initial priming must not take longer than 30 seconds before liquid reaches the pump head. Ports are 3/4 inch NPT for use with 1 inch reinforced hose, and the pump handles hard and soft solids up to roughly 6 to 7 mm, so an inlet strainer is generally not recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this pump reversible?
No. The dry running design means flow runs one way only, with the vertical port as the discharge.
Q: Why is a strainer not recommended on the inlet?
Restricting the inlet reduces priming and flow. The pump is designed to pass small solids, so strainers are generally unnecessary.
Q: What power supply does it need?
A fully charged 24V battery bank or other 24V DC supply with enough amperage for the motor.
Q: What hose should I use?
Use 1 in reinforced hose on the suction side so it does not collapse under vacuum.
