Jabsco 18770-0003 125 GPM Bronze Engine Cooling Pump, Flanged
The Jabsco 18770-0003 is a bronze flexible impeller engine cooling pump with flanged ports, rated at about 125 GPM for large marine diesel engines. It uses the 18789-0001 neoprene impeller, the 96080-0371 mechanical seal, the 18784-1000 end cover, the 18753-0434 O-ring gasket, the 18753-0525 shaft kit and the 18753-0527 roller bearing.
Raw water cooling pumps supply sea water to the engine heat exchanger, so a healthy pump is critical to engine temperature. Replace the impeller on a set schedule, inspect the cam liner, wearplate and end cover faces at the same time, and rebuild the seals and bearings before they leak. Never run the pump dry and close the seacock only with the engine stopped.
