Jabsco 18711-0000 Retaining Ring
The Jabsco 18711-0000 is a genuine Jabsco retaining ring that locates the bearing on the shaft, supplied one per bag. It is listed for Jabsco 2570, 6400, 7420 and 11870 series flexible impeller pumps.
Retaining rings snap into a machined groove to locate a bearing, shaft or seal and stop it moving along its axis. A ring that has been sprung open, distorted or corroded will not hold properly, so fit a new one whenever the pump is rebuilt. Use the correct ring pliers, and check the ring is fully seated in its groove all the way round before reassembly.
