Jabsco 18645-0000 Pump Body
The Jabsco 18645-0000 is a genuine Jabsco bronze pump body. The body is the main casting of a flexible impeller pump: it carries the inlet and outlet ports and the offset bore the impeller turns in, and it holds the cam, wearplate and end cover in their correct positions. It is listed for Jabsco Water Puppy 18660 and 18670 series pumps, 18610 series utility pumps and the 18220-1127 Ballast Puppy.
Replace the body when it is cracked by freezing, when the ports or threads are damaged, when corrosion has pitted the sealing faces, or when the bore is badly scored from running dry or pumping grit. The shaft, impeller, cam and wearplate can usually be moved across from the old body if they are in good condition, but fit a new end cover gasket or O-ring and new shaft seals when you rebuild.
