Jabsco 18590-0010 12V Macerator Pump
The Jabsco 18590-0010 is the Jabsco 12 volt self-priming macerator pump. It combines a flexible impeller pump with stainless steel wearplates and a stainless steel chopper plate that grinds waste as it enters, with a 12 VDC motor and a 1 in ID hose barb discharge. It is the standard choice for emptying marine holding tanks.
Macerator pumps grind waste into a fine slurry and pump it from a holding tank to a deck fitting or overboard where permitted. Keep the chopper, wearplates and impeller in good condition, since worn parts reduce flow and let solids jam the pump. Never run a flexible impeller macerator dry, and flush it with fresh water after emptying the tank.
