Jabsco 18515-0000 Centrifugal Impeller
The Jabsco 18515-0000 is a genuine Jabsco centrifugal impeller. It is listed for Jabsco 18510 series Centri Puppy pumps and the 18580-0000 centrifugal pump. Unlike a flexible impeller, a centrifugal impeller has fixed vanes that spin liquid outward from the eye of the impeller into the pump casing, which gives smooth, steady flow with very little pulsation.
A centrifugal pump does not self-prime in the way a flexible impeller pump does, so it should be mounted below the liquid level or primed before starting. Replace the impeller when the vanes are worn, chipped or eroded, or when flow has dropped noticeably, and check the shaft seal and casing at the same time.
