Jabsco 18220-1127 Ballast Puppy Pump, 12V, Polyurethane Impeller
The Jabsco 18220-1127 is the Jabsco Ballast Puppy, a 12 volt bronze flexible impeller pump for wakeboard and towboat water ballast, with a yellow polyurethane impeller and a lip type seal. It moves about 10 gallons, roughly 80 lb of water, per minute through 1/2 in NPT and 1 in external hose barb ports, and it shares the 18645-0000 body and 18647-0000 end cover of the Water Puppy family.
These bronze flexible impeller pumps self-prime, handle small debris and can be mounted in any position, which is why they are used for bilge, washdown, livewell and transfer duty. Keep suction lines airtight so the pump can prime, drain it before freezing weather, and never let it run dry because the impeller depends on the liquid for lubrication.
