Jabsco 18024-0000 End Cover Clamp Screw
The Jabsco 18024-0000 is the genuine end cover clamp screw for Jabsco Pureflo 15070 series sanitary pumps and 15170 series bulkhead mounted pedestal pumps. Pureflo pumps are the Jabsco 316 stainless steel sanitary flexible impeller pumps used on dairy, food, beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, built so the pump end can be opened quickly for cleaning. On these pumps the stainless steel end cover is held on by a clamp rather than screws, and this clamp screw draws the clamp tight so the cover seals against its O-ring and can be released again by hand for cleaning.
Because the clamp is opened at every cleaning, the clamp screw sees far more cycles than an ordinary fastener, and the thread and tip wear with use. A worn or bent screw will not hold the clamp evenly, which lets the cover rock on its O-ring and can cause leaks or air ingress on the suction side. The clamp is designed to be hand tightened, so replace the screw rather than forcing a worn one with tools.
