Jabsco 18006-0000 Drive Shaft for 18000 Series
The Jabsco 18006-0000 is the genuine drive shaft for Jabsco 18000 series epoxy plastic gear pumps, including 18000-0000 and 18000-0001. It carries the drive gear, runs in the carbon sleeve bearings and takes the drive from the motor or belt. It is made from 316 stainless steel. The 18250 series uses a different drive shaft, 18006-0010.
Jabsco 18000 and 18250 series gear pumps have glass filled epoxy bodies and gears, 316 stainless steel wearplates and shafts and carbon sleeve bearings, and they are used to transfer caustics, acids, detergents, inks and other liquids up to about 100 PSI. Worn internal parts show up as lower pressure and flow, so inspect the gears, wearplates, bearings and thrust plates together at every overhaul and never run the pump dry.
