Jabsco 18005-0010 Gear for 18250 Series
The Jabsco 18005-0010 is the genuine gear for Jabsco 18250 series epoxy plastic gear pumps, including 18250-0000 and 18250-0001. Two are used in each pump, one on the drive shaft and one on the idler shaft, and together they move the liquid from inlet to outlet. The 18000 series uses a different gear, 18005-0000.
Jabsco 18000 and 18250 series gear pumps have glass filled epoxy bodies and gears, 316 stainless steel wearplates and shafts and carbon sleeve bearings, and they are used to transfer caustics, acids, detergents, inks and other liquids up to about 100 PSI. Worn internal parts show up as lower pressure and flow, so inspect the gears, wearplates, bearings and thrust plates together at every overhaul and never run the pump dry.
