Jabsco 17830-0024 Reversible Oil Change Pump, 24V
The Jabsco 17830-0024 is the Jabsco 24 volt reversible oil change pump, a bronze flexible impeller pump with a nitrile impeller, nitrile lip seal and 3/8 in NPT ports, close coupled to a 24 VDC reversible permanent magnet motor with an integral reversing switch. It is installed near the engine and plumbed to the oil pan, so it can pull the old oil out and then be reversed to pump fresh oil back in.
Changing oil through the dipstick tube or a permanently plumbed drain line keeps used oil off the engine and out of the bilge, which is why oil change pumps are standard equipment on many boats. Warm the engine first so the oil flows freely, keep the suction end at the bottom of the sump, and never let a flexible impeller pump run dry for more than a few seconds.

Nitrile impeller pumps handle diesel and oils. Never pump gasoline with a pump that is not rated for it.
