Jabsco 17800-2000 Porta Quick 12V Oil Change Pump
The Jabsco 17800-2000 is the Jabsco Porta Quick 12 volt oil change pump, a portable reversible flexible impeller pump for changing engine oil without crawling under the engine. It runs from a 12 volt battery, draws old oil out through the dipstick tube or drain line into a container, and can be reversed to refill.
Changing oil through the dipstick tube or a permanently plumbed drain line keeps used oil off the engine and out of the bilge, which is why oil change pumps are standard equipment on many boats. Warm the engine first so the oil flows freely, keep the suction end at the bottom of the sump, and never let a flexible impeller pump run dry for more than a few seconds.
