Jabsco 17374-1000 Cam Liner
The Jabsco 17374-1000 is the genuine cam liner for the Jabsco 17360-1001 and 17970-0100 marine diesel engine cooling pumps. The cam liner is the offset ring inside the pump body that squeezes the impeller vanes to move water and make the pump self-priming.
Raw water engine cooling pumps supply sea water to the heat exchanger, so worn internal parts show up as rising engine temperature, slow priming and reduced overboard flow. Replace the impeller on a set schedule, inspect the cam, wearplate and end cover faces at the same time, and rebuild the seals and bearings before they leak. Close the seacock only with the engine stopped.
