Jabsco 17215-0000 Drill Pump Oil Change Kit
The Jabsco 17215-0000 is the Jabsco self-priming drill pump oil change kit. It is the 17250-0003 drill pump packaged with everything needed to change engine oil through the dipstick tube: 3 ft of 1/2 in hose, a probe adapter, a 1/4 in by 40 in dipstick probe and two 3/4 in garden hose adapters. The pump chucks into a standard 1/4 in or 3/8 in electric drill, so no separate motor is needed.
Changing oil through the dipstick tube or a permanently plumbed drain line keeps used oil off the engine and out of the bilge, which is why oil change pumps are standard equipment on many boats. Warm the engine first so the oil flows freely, keep the suction end at the bottom of the sump, and never let a flexible impeller pump run dry for more than a few seconds.
