Jabsco 14052-0000 Sanitary Mechanical Seal Assembly
The Jabsco 14052-0000 is the genuine sanitary mechanical seal assembly for Jabsco Pureflo 15070 and 15270 series sanitary pumps. Pureflo pumps are the Jabsco 316 stainless steel sanitary flexible impeller pumps used on dairy, food, beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, built so the pump end can be opened quickly for cleaning. The seal assembly slides onto the pump shaft with its carbon face toward the pump head and runs against the wearplate, keeping the product inside the pump while the shaft turns.
Mechanical seals wear with running hours and are damaged quickly by dry running or abrasive product, and a worn seal leaks product along the shaft toward the bearings. When fitting the new seal, slide it onto the shaft carbon face first, fit the wearplate with the raised boss toward the carbon face, then set the seal collar and tighten its two set screws.
