Jabsco 12845-0000 Thrust Plate
The Jabsco 12845-0000 is a genuine thrust plate for Jabsco 18000 and 18250 series epoxy plastic gear pumps. Three are used in each pump, where they take the axial thrust of the gears and shafts and hold the rotating parts at the correct end clearance.
Thrust plates wear with running hours, and faster when the pump handles abrasive liquid or runs against high pressure. Worn thrust plates let the gears move endwise, which reduces pressure and flow and speeds up wear on the wearplates and bearings. Replace all three together when the pump is overhauled, along with any worn sleeve bearings and wearplates.
