Jabsco 12554-0000 Plastic Pump Body
The Jabsco 12554-0000 is the genuine plastic pump body for Jabsco 12290 series self-priming pumps and the 12560-0001 12 volt pump. The body forms the pumping chamber that the flexible impeller runs in, with the offset shape that squeezes the vanes to move liquid, and it carries the inlet and outlet ports.
Replace the body when it is cracked from freezing, when the ports are damaged, or when the bore is worn or scored where the impeller runs. A worn bore lets liquid slip past the vanes so the pump is slow to prime and delivers less. Fit a new wearplate, impeller and end cover gasket at the same time, since the pump is fully apart.
