Jabsco 12510-0001 Bronze Self-Priming Transfer Pump, 1/6 HP 115V
The Jabsco 12510-0001 is a small bronze self-priming transfer pump close coupled to a 1/6 HP, 115 VAC open drip proof motor with an 8 ft cord and three prong grounded plug. The pump end is bronze with a neoprene flexible impeller and a lip type shaft seal, with 3/8 in NPT internal and 3/4 in garden hose external ports.
It has a nominal flow of about 2.7 GPM, self-primes from dry up to about 6 ft and will lift up to about 20 ft once primed, provided the suction line is airtight. It is well suited to light transfer, draining and circulation jobs with water and similar liquids. The service parts include end cover 11833-0000 and the 1040-0000 lip seal.

Q: What do I do before freezing weather?
Drain the pump by loosening the end cover so trapped water cannot freeze and crack the body or cover.
Q: Why will it not self-prime?
Almost always an air leak on the suction side. Every suction connection must be airtight for the pump to pull a vacuum.
Q: What is the main service part?
The impeller. Keep a spare with the matching compound, plus an end cover gasket.
Q: How long can it run dry?
Only seconds. The flexible impeller depends on the liquid for lubrication, and dry running damages it quickly.
