Jabsco 12071-0000 End Cover
The Jabsco 12071-0000 is a genuine replacement end cover for Jabsco flexible impeller pumps. The end cover closes the front of the pump body over the impeller, and its inside face forms one wall of the pumping chamber, so a flat, true surface is what keeps each vane sealed as it sweeps past. Jabsco uses this part number on specific pump models only, so match it against the parts list for the model number on your pump plate before ordering. This cover is the round style held by three screws.
Over thousands of hours the impeller vanes polish a groove into the inside face of the cover. Once that groove forms, liquid slips back past the vanes, output falls and the pump struggles to prime. Covers also crack when a pump is left full of water in freezing weather. Fit a new cover with a new gasket, and change the impeller at the same time if its vanes are worn or set.
