Jabsco 1041-0000 Inner Bearing Seal
The Jabsco 1041-0000 is the genuine inner bearing seal for Jabsco 2760 series bronze pedestal pumps. It sits on the pump side of the ball bearing and keeps water and pumped liquid from reaching the bearing, working together with the outer bearing seal on the drive side so the bearing runs in clean grease.
On a pedestal pump the bearing is the part that suffers first if the shaft seal starts to weep, because any liquid that gets past the seal heads straight for it. A worn inner bearing seal lets that liquid in, and the result is a noisy, rough bearing and eventually a failed shaft. Replace the inner bearing seal whenever the pump is dismantled for a shaft seal or bearing.
