Jabsco 10346-0020 Wearplate
The Jabsco 10346-0020 is a genuine replacement wearplate for Jabsco flexible impeller pumps. The wearplate sits at the back of the pumping chamber, between the impeller and the seal side of the pump body, and takes the rubbing wear of the impeller vanes so the body itself is protected. Its flat face is the other wall that the vanes seal against. Pureflo pumps are the Jabsco 316 stainless steel sanitary flexible impeller pumps used on dairy, food, beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, built so the pump end can be opened quickly for cleaning. It is listed for Jabsco 15170 series bulkhead mounted stainless steel pedestal pumps, including 15170-0015 and 15170-7365.
When the wearplate is grooved or pitted, liquid slips back past the vanes on each revolution, output falls and self-priming suffers, even with a new impeller. Orientation matters on assembly: the flat side faces the impeller and the raised boss faces the carbon face of the seal assembly. Inspect the wearplate every time the impeller is changed and replace it once a step can be felt with a fingernail. The 10346-0010 is a related wearplate for a different Pureflo configuration, so check your pump model before ordering.
