This is the Finish Thompson PF drum pump in the 48 inch tube length, constructed in polypropylene. It is supplied as the pump tube and is driven by a matched Finish Thompson motor. The tube is polypropylene throughout the wetted path, which covers most acids, caustics and plating chemistry, and the pump is sealless so nothing has to hold pressure against a rotating shaft.
A drum pump earns its keep by removing the tip and pour from the job. These are sealless tube pumps, so there is no shaft seal to weep down the outside of the drum, and the bearings are lubricated by the fluid itself rather than by grease. That makes flushing after use the single most useful habit, because a pump left full of product is a pump that seizes.
