Finish Thompson MSKCPCVN15C MSKC MSKC Multistage Magnetic Drive Pump End
This is the Finish Thompson MSKC multistage sealless magnetic drive pump end, constructed in polypropylene. It is supplied as the pump end, ready to mount on a motor of the matching frame. Two impellers in series build the head rather than one, so the pump reaches pressures a single stage body of the same size cannot, and it does it with no shaft seal anywhere in the fluid path.
Specified correctly it is a long lived pump, and most of what shortens its life comes down to how it is run rather than how it is built. Keep solids out of the suction and avoid running against a closed discharge, since a decoupled magnet set builds heat quickly and can lose strength permanently.
Key Features
- Two stage design for higher head than a single stage pump of the same size
- Polypropylene wetted construction

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How important is alignment on a close coupled pump?
The motor and pump share a machined register, so alignment is fixed at assembly and the register faces must be clean and undamaged.
Q: What is the first sign of seal trouble?
A trace of product at the drain below the adapter, usually intermittent at first and always worse under pressure.
Q: Does the pump need a suction strainer?
It is good practice on any close clearance pump, and essential if the system has been newly built or recently opened.
Q: What limits the life of the mechanical seal?
Dry running above all, then thermal shock and solids working between the faces. A seal that has run dry rarely recovers.
