Finish Thompson M100007 PTFE Bottom Bearing
Finish Thompson supplies the M100007 as the ptfe bottom bearing for PFM, PFP and PFV drum pumps. It supports the lower end of the shaft right above the impeller, where the loads and the chemical exposure are both at their worst. It is built in PTFE, which is what decides where it can safely be used.

Q: Should it be replaced in sets?
If the pump has several bearing points it is worth doing them together, because one fresh bearing carrying a worn neighbor rarely lasts.

No. It reaches its working clearance almost immediately once the pump is primed and running.

Always. A scored or undersized shaft will wear a new bearing quickly and turn a cheap repair into an expensive one.
