Flojet 20244-108 Dummy Switch Cover Kit
The Flojet 20244-108 is the genuine dummy switch cover kit. It blanks off the pressure switch position on a Flojet pump, sealing the opening on pumps that are not fitted with a switch.
Not every installation uses one. A pump controlled by an external float switch, a timer, a manual switch or a controller does not need a pressure switch at all, and on a transfer or dispensing duty the pump may be intended to run continuously while it is powered. In all of those cases the switch position on the pump housing still exists and still has to be properly closed — leaving it open would let water out and let dirt and moisture into the pump.
That is exactly the job this cover does, and it is worth using the correct part rather than improvising. A blanking plate has to seal against pressure, fit the housing’s mounting pattern precisely and be made of a material that will not degrade in a permanently wet position. A plate cut from something to hand, or a switch left fitted but disconnected, does neither reliably. Confirm the part number against the parts breakdown for your pump before ordering.

Q: Why not just leave the old pressure switch fitted and disconnected?
It works, but it leaves a redundant component with its own seals and diaphragm to fail in a wet position. A blanking cover has nothing inside it to go wrong.
Q: Can I make a blanking plate myself?
It has to seal against system pressure and match the mounting pattern precisely. An improvised plate is a likely future leak in a place that is awkward to reach.
Q: What controls the pump if there is no pressure switch?

Q: Does removing the pressure switch affect the pump otherwise?
