Flojet 02095-104 Pressure Switch Kit, 22-35 PSI, Threaded
The Flojet 02095-104 is the genuine pressure switch kit with a 22-35 PSI band in the threaded configuration. The pump starts at around 22 PSI and stops at around 35.
This is the gentle end of normal fresh water service, and it is chosen deliberately rather than as a compromise. A lower operating band means every joint, clamp, tank fitting and length of hose in the system spends its life well inside its capability, which matters on older installations, on systems assembled from mixed components over the years, and anywhere the plumbing is difficult to inspect. It also means the pump works less hard per cycle, drawing less current and making less noise.
What you give up is some vigour at the outlets. At 22 PSI cut-in, flow towards the end of a draw is noticeably softer than it would be on a 40 PSI system, which is fine for taps and basins and less satisfying for a shower. Choose the band the system was designed around, and confirm the mounting — the threaded and unthreaded versions are not interchangeable and the pressure rating on the label will not tell you which you have.

Q: Is a lower pressure setting easier on the system?
Measurably so. Every component sees less force on every cycle, which extends the life of hoses, clamps and joints, and reduces the consequences if one of them is imperfect.
Q: Will it noticeably affect the taps?
At a basin or a galley sink, very little. On a shower it is more apparent, particularly towards the end of a draw before the pump cuts back in.
Q: Does a lower setting save battery power?
Yes, modestly. The pump works against less pressure and reaches its cut-out sooner, so each cycle costs less energy.
Q: Can I change to a higher band later?
Provided the pump and the plumbing are rated for it, and provided the replacement switch has the same mounting arrangement. Check both before ordering.
